Description

The Agoraphobia & Panic Support Group is for those experiencing high-levels of anxiety associated with being in different environments. This often leads to panic attacks and may prevent sufferers from leaving their home. This monthly support group provides a safe space for people to come together and discuss challenges, self-help ideas, and coping strategies. The group is generally not structured, with participants sharing and discussing their own topics. Our friendly facilitators are on hand to keep the group running smoothly.

Date: 4th Monday of the month
Time: 7pm-8pm (AEST)
Venue: Online (using Zoom)

My experiencing as a support group facilitator has been extremely
rewarding. I can see the benefits the groups provide our participants when they
return each session with things to share, and many say that they are just
grateful to have a safe space to connect with people going through similar
things. Some participants have also expressed that in Victoria they cannot
access support groups similar to those that ARCVic provides (e.g. for body
dysmorphia), so they are grateful that ARCVic allows them to share on these
matters and feel less alone. Nicola
