Body Dysmorphic Disorder Support Group B

Body Dysmorphic Disorder Support Group B

The Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is a place for those experiencing BDD to come together and discuss challenges, self-help ideas, and coping strategies. The group is generally not structured, with participants sharing and discussing their own topics. Our friendly facilitators are on hand to keep the group running smoothly.

Date: 4th Thursday of the Month
Time: 7pm-8.30pm
Venue: Online (using Zoom)

NOTE: For safety reasons participants will be required to have their camera on (facilitators need to see participants). For personal comfort you may choose not to have your zoom view show yourself. Please ask our friendly facilitators if you require information on how to do this in the session.

My experiencing as a support group facilitator has been extremely
rewarding. I can see the benefits the groups provide our participants when they
return each session with things to share, and many say that they are just
grateful to have a safe space to connect with people going through similar
things. Some participants have also expressed that in Victoria they cannot
access support groups similar to those that ARCVic provides (e.g. for body
dysmorphia), so they are grateful that ARCVic allows them to share on these
matters and feel less alone. Nicola
