Deer Park FREE Community Seminar:  Understanding Anxiety

ARCVic in partnership with CommUnityPlus presents:

What is anxiety? How does it differ from stress or worry? When does it become something more? This introduction to anxiety will help you recognise and respond to presentations of anxiety in a kind and respectful way. It will look at common anxiety conditions, symptoms, management, and treatment. If you or someone you know is suffering from persistent or chronic anxiety or an anxiety-related condition this presentation aims to offer avenues for understanding and support.

The Anxiety Recovery Centre offers community seminars, webinars and/or workshops on many topics related to anxiety. These are run by highly experienced staff.

My experiencing as a support group facilitator has been extremely
rewarding. I can see the benefits the groups provide our participants when they
return each session with things to share, and many say that they are just
grateful to have a safe space to connect with people going through similar
things. Some participants have also expressed that in Victoria they cannot
access support groups similar to those that ARCVic provides (e.g. for body
dysmorphia), so they are grateful that ARCVic allows them to share on these
matters and feel less alone. Nicola
